Glen Bulloss on Dads & Depression | Dad Talk #33

New dad Glen Bulloss couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t happy after he became a dad. What was supposed to be an amazing time in his life didn’t feel like one. It turns out he, like many new parents, suffered from postpartum depression. Yes, dads experience it too. One study says it’s actually just as common with dads as moms.

Glen listened to an earlier Positively Dad episode called When Dad is Depressed where we talked with Indiana University’s Dr. Erika Cheng about postpartum depression. That’s when Glen realized he needed help.

Glen joined us to tell his story and share how he hopes to help other families.

About the author, James

Thank you for joining me for the Positively Dad journey! My name is James Shaw and I'm a husband and father. I live in the Tampa Bay area with my wife, Terri and our young daughter, Naomi. The goal with Positively Dad for us to think, learn and grow. It's easy to get caught up in the day to day and miss opportunities to become amazing fathers. I trust that the conversations we have on Positively Dad will help you see that fatherhood is truly a journey and that we are better together than figuring it all out on our own.
